Workmanship:
Coir Fibers Media is made from the coir fibres of the coconut husk. These coir fibres are being curled and then interconnected by means of a needling process. After that rubber latex is sprayed on the fibres and then pressed into dense plates. By heating the rubber is vulcanised, and in that way all coir fibres are bonded by means of 'rubberstrings'. Coir Fibers Media has therefore excellent shock- and sound absorbing properties. Because coir fibres are hollow the heat insulation is very good as well.
